This month’s issue marks the 3rd anniversary of the Central Brittany Journal, a remarkable milestone for a start up publishing venture, let alone achieving this in a foreign country. What began as a 200 copy run, produced on home printers, is now sold in over 400 outlets across Brittany.
Living in France it nice to get your hands on something to read written in English. The Journal’s success can be attributed to performing two important roles. The articles give a fascinating insight into Breton culture and history, as well as an appreciation of the natural environment of Brittany. Regular columunists also offer useful advice on the practicalities of everyday life from shopping to IT. Secondly, the adverts provide a useful directory of goods and services to the ex pat community.
